About this course
ETABS is a product of CSI used for 3D design of concrete buildings, aiding in the analysis and understanding of structural design according to global codes. The program focuses on studying the effects of lateral loads such as wind and seismic forces, in addition to gravity loads like dead loads from concrete and tiles, and live loads from people and furniture. It enables engineers to analyze the impact of these loads on buildings and design the structural dimensions of vertical elements like columns, shear walls, and basements, while determining the required steel quantities and ensuring their adequacy. It also assists in checking the displacements of buildings due to loads and ensuring compliance with global codes. In this course, you will learn step-by-step how to use ETABS from beginner to expert level to design buildings efficiently and accurately.
Expected outcomes
- Ability to prepare and analyze construction projects using ETABS.
- Understanding how to define and analyze different loads on structures.
- Mastering the use of the program's tools for structural analysis and design.
- Preparing professional reports for analysis and design results.
- Handling attachments and related projects to apply acquired skills.
