Privacy Policy

We respect our users' privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

What we collect

  • Account data: name, email, optional profile picture, preferred language.
  • Payment data: we don't store your card details. Payments go through Stripe, PayPal, and local gateways; we receive only the transaction ID and status.
  • Usage data: the courses you watch, your progress, quiz answers, notes, and preferences.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, OS, and visit times. Collected automatically.

How we use your data

  • Operating the platform and delivering its service.
  • Personalising course recommendations and improving the learning experience via Zico AI.
  • Sending confirmation emails, receipts, and course updates.
  • Preventing fraud, detecting abuse, and complying with applicable laws.
  • Analysing platform performance (anonymised by default).

Who we share with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the service providers required to run the platform:

  • Stripe, PayPal, Paymob: for payments and refunds.

  • Resend, Brevo: for transactional and marketing emails.
  • OpenAI: Zico AI responses go through the OpenAI API. Conversations are not used to train external models.
  • Authorities: only when legally required and with the minimum data necessary.

Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Essential: keeping you signed in and protecting against CSRF.
  • Preferences: remembering your language, dark mode, and trusted device.
  • Analytics: measuring performance — no direct personal identifiers.

Your rights

Security

We use TLS encryption for all connections and encrypt sensitive fields in the database. Internal access is limited to staff who need it to perform their duties.
