This course teaches the Firebase platform and its integrated services for mobile app developers, so you can build a complete app without worrying about servers and infrastructure. You start by learning what Firebase is and connecting your app to it, then the Realtime Database and writing and reading data. Next you carry out a practical app that includes building the first screen, creating an alert dialog, saving and retrieving multiple items of data and showing them in a list, sending data with putExtra, then long press, updating data and deleting it. You then move on to authentication with email and password, signing in and out and verifying the email address, followed by storage and uploading images. The course suits Android app developers who want to connect their apps to a database and register users, and it is best to know the basics of building apps.
