Geographic Information Systems with ArcMap
This course teaches ArcMap for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from scratch. You start by downloading and installing the program and getting to know the interface, then adding layers, navigation tools, the table of contents and formatting how layers appear, and then working with Labels, Annotations, Symbology and Data Frame properties. Next you learn how to prepare the map for printing, its margin elements and exporting it, the Attribute Table, data editing and selection. You move on to data types and converting them, joins and relates, and Geocoding, then raster data, Georeferencing, digital elevation models (DEM) and interpolation. In the advanced part you learn about the Geodatabase, spatial data correction with Topology and Network Analysis. The course suits engineers, surveyors, planners and anyone interested in maps, and no previous experience with the program is needed. By the end, you will be able to produce maps and analyze spatial data yourself.
